Procedures Pertaining to Application for Filming in Malaysia1. Particulars required on submitting an application to a Malaysian Embassyi) Personal ii) Passport iii) Address iv) Organization - Name - Number - Residence - Name - Nationality - Date of Issue - Business - Address - Date of Birth - Place of Issue - Applicant's Capacity - Place of Birth - Date of Expiry
v) Project Brief description of intended project in Malaysia (including indication of places / locations and filming schedule).
vi) Local Sponsor To be appointed from filming agencies in Malaysia which are registered with FINAS.
2. List Of Equipment To Be Brought Into Malaysia :- (Name of item , Make, Quantity, Gross weight, Country of origin, Price per Unit and Total price) 3. Conditions for Filming
A. Scenes /events filmed should not contradict social norms, customs, moral values of Malaysian society.
B. Comments made in the intended film should not be incompatible with the objectives of "RUKUNEGARA" and government policies.
C. All interviews require prior permission from the Ministries / agencies concerned. D. Filming is prohibited in restricted areas. E. Aerial photographs are prohibited.
F. A complimentary copy of the film should be furnished to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
G. In principle, all films shot in Malaysia should be processed in Malaysia.
