Procedures for Foreign Journalists to Undertake Media Assignments
1. Foreign media practitioners/journalists intending to carry out interviews with Malaysian leaders in the government for
publication in their media/newspapers are required to submit requests for interviews to the nearest Malaysian
diplomatic mission. The request made should be accompanied by background information of the media organisation,
biodata details of the journalists visiting Malaysia, proposal questionnaires and scheduled dates in Malaysia.
2. The External Information Division will undertake to arrange for the interviews once notified of the planned visit by the
Malaysian diplomatic mission. Ample notice needs to be given for interviews to be arranged.
