VISA REQUIREMENT
 

  Social Visit Pass
All Travellers must have a confirmed booking and paid in full all hotels during their stay in Malaysia and have a sufficient funds to support for the duration of their stay in Malaysia. For travellers who have friends or relatives, it is advisable for them to be availabled at the airport upon your arrival and please have their details like address and telephone number handy for Immigration officer to consult them.
Introduction

Pass is an endorsement that is endorsed in a passport or travel document of a foreigner allowing the individual to enter and remain on a temporary basis in Malaysia.

Visa is a first stage of clearance before allowing the individual to enter Malaysia subject to requirement by the Malaysian reprsentative abroad. Please check on our Visa Listing to ensure whether the individual passport is either excluded or inluded in the country that require Visa to Enter.

Please bear in mind that once Visa to Enter is endorsed, it doesn't indicate as a guarantee for the applicant to enter Malaysia. Final decision for the visitors to enter and stay temporarily in Malaysia is after the Immigration officer at the point of entry is satisfied with the purpose of their entry.

 

1.

Passport must be valid more than 6 months.

All foreign visitors entering Malaysia on social visit through the gazette entry points will be given social visit pass for social visits including the following purposes:
  • Visiting Relatives
  • Tourism
  • Journalist / Reporter
  • Attending Meeting
  • Attending Business Discussion
  • Inspection of factory
  • Auditing Company's Account
  • Signing Agreement
  • Doing survey on investment opportunities/setting up factory
  • Attending Seminars
  • On goodwill mission for students or sitting for examinations in University
  • Taking part in sports competitions
  • Other activities not mentioned above but approved by the Director General of Immigration.

Applicant must hold the following status:
UK Resident / Student Visa / Work Permit in the United Kingdom

3.

One passport-sized photograph.

4.

Letter of Introduction  from Employer /University / College.

 

*** Please note Unemployed Spouse needs to bring the following:

(i)     Original and Photocpy of Spouse's Passport
(ii)    Original and Photocopy of Marriage Certificate
(iii)   Letter of Introduction from Employer (Husband or Wife's Employer)

5.

Most recent 3 motnhs Bank Statement
Proof to finance the expenses incurred during journey
Minimum Credit in the Current Account of £ 600.00
Original and Photocopy of Credit Card

Confirm RETURN Air Ticket or Printed Confirmed Flight Itinerary from Travel Agent or ONWARD journey to the THIRD country.
(It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that they have a VALID VISA to ENTER the THIRD country or will be refuse to enter Malaysia)

Application for Extension of Social Visit Pass
Visitors who enter and stay in this country for the purpose of Social Visit or Touring are not allowed to extend their stay beyond the stipulated duration according to each country. However, an Extension may be given on Special consideration e.g. due to illness, accident, war in home country etc. The visitor must furnish evidence, and also a "confirmed flight ticket' back to their home country.
 
The applicant must abide by the following conditions:
  • Submit application in person
  • Applicant must produce his/ her Passport personally
  • Fill Form IMM. 55 - for extension of Social Visit Pass
  • Confirmed flight ticket to home country or in possession of visa and ticket to a third country
Payment
A fee of RM50.00 each month is for an extension is payable exceeding the third (3rd) month from date of entry

 

7. Completed and duly signed  IM.47 application form, available at the Counter @ £0.25 p.
8. Visa fees is £10.00 (CASH ONLY).  This amount if for Visa Processing Fee and is NON REFUNDABLE.

Applicant will be issued with Single Entry Social Visit Pass only.

10.

Please bring Certificate of Yellow Fever Vacination if you are holding the passport of this countries:-

Angola, Benin, Bolivia, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Central Africa Republic, Chad, Colombia, Congo, Cote d'Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ecuador, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, French Guiana, Gabon, Guyana, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Kenya, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Panama, Peru, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Somalia, Sudan, Suriname, Tanzania, Togo, Trinidad & Tobago, Uganda and Venezuela

Issuance of Certificate will be valid from 7 days to 6 months before travelling
